Deutsch: Der etwa 480 m hohe Bergrücken Námafjall im Nordosten Islands ist ein aktiver Vulkan, der mit unzähligen Solfataren und Fumarolen bedeckt ist, weshalb er als Islands beeindruckendstes Solfatarenfeld gilt. Die Flanken des Námafjall leuchten in Gelb, Orange, Rot und Braun. Zischend und fauchend treten weiße Dampfsäulen aus den Spalten und überall sind blubbernde und brodelnde Schlammquellen zu sehen, die von Mineralien unterschiedlichster Farben umgeben sind. |
