English: 11.04.2004 01665 Scharfenberg (Klipphausen), Schloßweg 1: Schloß (GMP: 51.125283,13.527484). 1227 erste urkundliche Erwähnung, ist aus einer Burg der Bischöfe von Meißen hervorgegangen. Im 16. Jahrhundert Erbauung eines Renaissanceschlosses. 1618-1648 im 30 jährigen Krieg zerstört. 1654 Bau des heutigen Schlosses durch Haubold von Miltitz. Am 22. Oktober 1940 verkaufte Carl Freiherr von Miltitz das Schloß an Johann Heinrich Reichel aus Berlin-Neukölln. Da zum Schloß keine landwirtschaftlichen Flächen mehr gehörten, wurde der Besitz 1945 nicht enteignet. Allerdings wurde das Schloß von der Gemeinde Scharfenberg verwaltet und zur Unterbringung von Flüchtlingen genutzt. Aufgrund mangelnden Bauunterhalts setzte der Verfall ein. In den 1980er Jahren zogen Künstler und junge Leute aus der alternativen Szene in das Schloß, die in freiwilligen Arbeitseinsätzen versuchten, die zerfallenden Schloßbauten zu retten. 1997 verkauften Reichels Erben das Schloß an den Kunsthändler Gert Lippold, der das Schloß als Wohnsitz für sich und seine Familie, als Veranstaltungszentrum und als Hotel ausbaute.
