Description

Accession: 2001-38-1 Plaque, USS CHESTER CA-27 Brass, Wood.

This is a good rendition of the USS CHESTER CA-27 in brass. The Chester was commissioned in 1929 and sold in 1959. She earned 11 battle stars for service in World War II. A full service history can be found at: www.history.navy.mil/danfs/c7/chester-ii.htm
