| Description |
Sorsele is where the two trains on the northern section of the Inlandsbanan are booked to cross over around 14:45 in the afternoon. On the left is Y1 1328 on train 89420, 07:40 Östersnd Centralstation to Gällivare and the right Y1 1348 on train 89421, 07:30 Gällivare to Östersund Centralstation. The Inlandsbanan have just 6 Y1 railcars, 3 are needed for their peak summer service - two on the northern section and one to work the daily round trip Östersund to Mora and back. The vehicles have been kept in good condition as they are now all well over 40 years old. They are no longer used by other train operators in Sweden and many were sold off to Croatian and Serbian Railways. |
