Description
English: Lt. Col. Joey Errington and 1st Sgt. Helder Camara, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, meet with Rubens Barbosa, former Brazilian ambassador to the United States, and Neeli Bendapudi, University of Kansas School of Business dean, Nov. 7 at the Brazil: What’s Next conference on KU’s Edwards Campus. Barbosa led a frank discussion on the current and future trade policies between the United States and Brazil to more than 200 international business professionals, community leaders, students, faculty and 1st Infantry Division leaders. “The KU community is fortunate to have opportunities to interact with soldiers from Big Red One at Fort Riley,” said Bendapudi. “A case in point is this conference, co-sponsored by KU and Ernst & Young, where Fort Riley representatives included soldiers of Brazilian descent and those who had served in many parts of the world. Fort Riley is one more reason why I tell people that, when you come to KU, the world comes to you.”
