Description

Post harvest Pooram festival at Vadakkumnathan temple, the oldest Hindu temple in Thrissur region. The Pooram falls in April-May every year, set by the Malayali Hindu calendar. The celebrations are held jointly by 10 nearby temples, elephants are a major show, music, dance and other events are celebrated by the locals. For more details about the festival: J.
