Подаци о старој цркви постоје тек од 1756. године, када је извршена обнова, Сматра се да је прва богомоља на овом месту озидана у 11. веку, Више пута је рушен и паљен, па га многи путописци помињу као поништени посавотамнавски манастир, У Првом устанку манастир је био болница, У Првом светском рату страдала је архива и однета црквена звона, Садашња манастирска црква подигнута је 1892. године на темељима старе, Звоник је подигнут 1911. године,English: According to legend, the monastery was erected by Milos Obilic's sister, Iconium, in memory of his brother, who did not return from Kosovo.
Data on the old church have only existed since 1756, when the restoration was completed. It is believed that the first place of worship in this place was built in the 11th century. It has been demolished and burned several times, and is referred to by many travel writers as a demolished post-Ottoman monastery. In the First Uprising the monastery was a hospital. In the First World War, an archive was destroyed and church bells were taken away. The present monastery church was erected in 1892 on the foundations of the old, The bell tower was erected in 1911. |
