| Description |
English: 1 James Street. A red brick building in what may described as a devolved Tudor Gothic style of 1878, with an oriel window ,a decorative doorway with set with Minton tiles and semicircular bay, rising into a tower. It was by the local architects Drury and Mortimer and was built for Mrs W A Nicholson, the widow of the Lincoln architect W A Nicholson. It was occupied by the County Surveyor J S Padley and subsequently has been used as architects offices. |
