English: 1GL bench mark and bolt on the church of St John the Baptist, East Ayton. This cut mark and bolt is on the east face of the church of St John the Baptist at East Ayton. Dating to 1845 this mark is part of the First Geodetic Levelling on the line from Thirsk to Scarborough. See also the church 1525467
