Description
English: Fire Support Base Peggy, South Vietnam. 1970-01. The Commander of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF), Brigadier S. P. Weir of Braddon, ACT, talks with the Vietnamese Foreign Minister, Senator Tran Van Lam. Senator Lam and his party accompanied the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Ralph L. Harry, on one of his visits to the Nui Dat based Task Force. Their stopover provided the Vietnamese with a glimpse of how Australian units operate in the field.
