| Description |
This model was only ever officially called Tomcat during the development days but the name seems to have stuck and to be honest I think it suits the model quite well. This is the 220 Turbo with the 2.0 T-Series 147kW 16V turbo; tested by Autocar in 1992 as being able to reach 241km/h! In other words an absolute rocket and quite the sleeper car. I'd love to own one of these but most are absolutely shagged these days after many uncaring owners with lead feet... This one is a Japanese import as pretty much all in NZ are; being a 1995 it is one of a batch of 330 Turbos exported to Japan that year. |
