Français : 12.07.1989 CSSR Vrchlabí (Gießdorf, Hohenelbe, Riesengebirge), Husiva 213: Das Augustinerkloster Vrchlabi {Augustinerkloster Hohenelbe} (GMP: 50.628701,15.605558) wurde 1704 von Maximilian von Morzini gegründet. Der Barockbau entstand 1705 bis 1725 nach Plänen des österreichischen Architekten Adam Auer. Die Klosterkirche ist dem heiligen Augustinus geweiht. Das Wohngebäude des Klosters beherbergt heute Ausstellungen des Riesengebirgsmuseums. Der ab 1409 von deutschen Bergleuten auch als Gießdorf bezeichnete Ort gehörte zunächst zur Lehensherrschaft Trutnov, von dem es 1525 wieder gelöst und selbständig wurde. Im Jahr 1534 erhob Kaiser Ferdinand I. Gießdorf bzw. Wrchlab zur Stadt mit dem Namen Hohenelbe. [R19890712A06.jpg]19890712060DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
