Deutsch: 22.06.1986 DDR 8601 [02699] Neschwitz, Park 1: Jagdschloß, Altes Schloß (GMP: 51.273082,14.331485). Das 1723 fertiggestellte barocke Schloß wurde anstelle einer alten Wasserburg für eine Mätresse August des Starken erbaut. Ursula Katharina von Altenbockum, Reichsfürstin von Teschen, war mit dem in Dresden lebenden Herzog Friedrich Ludwig von Württemberg-Teck verheiratet. Der Saal erhielt um 1800 eine klassizistische Ausmalung mit pompejanischen Motiven. Der letzte Herr auf Neschwitz war Dr. Arnold Freiherr von Vietinghoff-Riesch, der als Forstwissenschaftler für naturnahe Forstwirtschaft warb und in Tharandt und später in Göttingen als Professor lehrte. 1930 gründete er die Vogelschutzwarte Neschwitz, die noch heute besteht.
