Summary
[edit]Description1982 AMC Concord DL Sundancer convertible at 2021 AMO meet 3of7.jpg |
English: 1982 AMC Concord DL Sundancer convertible. A two-door compact-sized car made by American Motors Corporation converted to convertible body style in conjunction with Griffith. The Concord's original unibody received additional structural rigidity in the process. A 14-piece welded-steel structural frame underside adds to chassis strength. The "Targa bar" has a welded, heavy-gauge steel-tube understructure, with rolled support gussets, welded to the original steel door pillars. Its outer covering is satin black finished fiberglass. The top insert is a removable lightweight fiberglass core and the rear section of vinyl with plastic windows. This car is finished in AMC's Jamaican Tan (paint code 2J) with a Nutmeg (brown) interior perforated vinyl upholstery. It is equipped with the 258 cu in (4.2 L) straight six-cylinder engine. It has the optional AMC's "styled" road wheels.
Photographs were taken during the June 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
