117 C I think this may be the best thing I have ever discovered! It was just sitting outside a derelict garage - as shown by the graffiti and mangy bus behind it - at the side of the road. I came up behind it and didn't know what it was, but when it clicked - let's just say I was utterly stunned! I have never seen another one of these, and what made it so great is the condition. If you think the horrendous rust on the front is bad, wait till I post a shot of the rear... This one is quite a late one - production began in 1968 and ended in 1981, replaced by the Piazza. This one was imported from Japan in 1990, and has been off the road since 2003 - although I am unsure as to whether it has sat here for all nine years. Streetview shots taken in January 2008 show this is nowhere to be seen, however. And would you believe it - it's for sale, according to a notice in the window! This is also my 700th photo, but what is more special is that exactly one year ago - June 28, 2011 - I joined Flickr and uploaded my first two photos! How time flies... Thank you to everyone I've met on here for your interest in my photos and the vehicles featured. Here's to another year! |
