Description

The Reliant Scimitar sports car was built between 1964 and 1986 The first of these cars was the 1964-70 Scimitar GT SE4 2 door Coupe. Early cars got the 2600cc 6 cyl from the Ford Zephyr, from 1966, the 3 litre V6 from the Mk IV Zodiac The 1968-75 GTE SE5 got a new 4 seater, 2 door shooting brake body, still with the 3 litre Essex engine

The 1975-86 GTE SE6 wheelbase was increased 4 inches and the track by 3 inches, chrome bumpers were now rubber. The Essex V6 was replaced by the Ford 2792cc Cologne V6 in 1980. Also in 1980, the GTC SE8 convertible was available
