| Description |
The XB Falcon was built from Sept 1973- July 1976. The XA got a facelift in 1973; the XB, it got a more pronounced nose due to the reworking of the bonnet and a divided honeycomb grille. The XB got more conventional taillights, new bumpers and 4 wheel disc brakes. The GS and GT bonnet got new hood scoops, the design reminiscent of the 1971-73 U.S. Mustang Sedans available in Standard, 500, Futura, Fairmont and GT Hardtops in 500, Fairmont, GT and limited John Goss Special Wagon in Standard, 500 or Fairmont Utility in Standard or 500 and the Panel Van in just Standard The Falcon 500 got 2 speed wipers, courtesy lights, carpet. The Futura got a centre arm rest and a heater. The Fairmont got bucket seats and a console. The GT got the 351, Fairmont interior, full instrumentation, bonnet scoops, and black out paintwork. The GS package was available on 500, Futura or Fairmont, The GS came with GS stripes, GT bonnet with twin scoops, 12 slot rims, full instrumentation, and rim blow steering wheel Engines; 130hp 200 and 155hp 250 6s or 240hp 302 and 260hp 351 V8s (GT 300hp) |
