| Description |
The Dino was a less expensive Ferrari, a Ferrari with less than 12 cylinders, it was built from 1968-76. In its early days, not even badged as a Ferrari. The first was the 1968-69 206 GT, it got a transverse-mounted 2.0 litre aluminium V6 engine. Then from 1969-74 was the 246 GT, it got the larger 2.4 litre V6, the body now made of steel instead of the 206s aluminium. Dinos were only fixed head coupes up to 1971, when the targa top GTS was introduced (this car). The last Dino, a new angular wedge shape, was the 308 GT4 2+2, made from 1973-76, it got a 2927cc V8 |
