| Description |
Blue Glow. The Mustang began to get fat and lazy, bigger and heavier in 1971. The 1971 and 1972 Mustangs were nearly identical. The Mach 1 was introduced in 1969 and was the sporty model, only available in the Sportsroof, the 1971-73 model featured Nasa style scoops on a striped hood, front and rear spoilers and sports wheels. 1973 brought some mild restyling. The urethane front bumper became standard. All Mustang models had their sportlamps re-purposed as turn signals and now oriented vertically. Mach 1 decals were also revised in 73. Only the 351 was available in the Mach 1 in 1973. |
