Built In England from 1969-1980 the upmarket, square front, Clubman replaced the Wolseley Hornet and Riley Elf. thought to be a more modern look. The Clubman was introduced in Australia in 1971, replacing the round nose Mini completely, even the van had a Clubman front (the only place in the world) it was called a Morris Mini Clubman until 1973 and then a Leyland Mini, the Australian one still got external door hinges and different door handles, Also available in Australia; a GT (cooper S running gear), an upmarket LE and limited edition 1275 LS in Nugget Gold or Hi Ho Silver.-810 made using up the last of the Mini bodies. Engines; 998, 1098 and 1275GT. |
