Description

The Humber Sceptre was built from 1963-76. The 1963-65 Mk I was positioned at the top of the range Rootes Group cars, above the Hillman Super Minx and Singer Vogue. It featured similar twin headlight styling to the Vogue, but a unique roof line and more powerful engine. The 1965-67 Mk II featured revised front end styling and a twin carburettors The 1967-76 Mk III was again top of the range, now a derivative of the Rootes Arrow design, it featured wood-veneer fascia, complete instrumentation, adjustable steering column, vinyl roof and extra brightwork on the wheel arches and rear panel.
