Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Photo looking south along Lehigh Street from Union Street in 1972. This illustrates the wholesale removal of the entire neighborhood of homes along with abandoned industrial buildings south of Union to the Little Lehigh Creek which took place. Note the tall building on the east side of Lehigh Street. That is the Nonnemaker House, dating from 1770. It was placed on the National Resister of Historic Places in the early 1970s but later it was torn down.
