Torinos were built from 1968-76. In 1971 the grilles got a centre division and a hideaway headlamp option on all cars except the Cobra. The Cobra continued to use the same grille as used in 1970. The Fairlane name was dropped for 1971, the base model now was the Torino, then Torino 500 and top was still the Torino Brougham, They were available in 4 door Sedan , 2 door Hardtop and Wagon. Also available was the 2 door Sports Roof or Convertible GT and the 2 door Sports Roof Cobra (lower level of trim but more power). Engines; 250 6 cyl, 302 and 351 V8s also 360hp 429 V8 on the Cobra, 370hp on Cobra Jet and 375hp on Super Cobra Jet. |
