Alpine White. The VH Valiant was built in Australia from June 1971 to May 1973, it was fully Australian designed and built. It was a larger car and more rounded than the VG, the grille heavily influenced by its US counterparts. A more powerful 265 cu in hemi 6 was introduced and the new Charger 2 door coupe. Models available were; Ranger; Sedan or Wagon, grille with horizontal aluminium bars, rectangular headlights, Standard 215 (245 option) Ranger XL; Sedan or Wagon, chrome around the taillights and windows, better interior trim Standard 245 (265 option) Regal; Sedan, Wagon or Hardtop, sill moulds, taillight panel, plusher interior, Standard 245, (265 and 318 V8 option) Regal 770; Sedan, Wagon or Hardtop, driving lights, better suspension , unique basket weave interior Pacer; Sedan only, red bars in the grille, side stripes, black out to the rear, styled steel wheels, sports interior, 265 Hemi 6 The new Charger coupe was available in XL, luxury 770 or the performance RT (and E37, E38, E48, E49 and E55 versions) Engines; 140hp 215, 165hp 245 or 203 to 302hp 265 Hemi 6s and 230hp 318, 275hp 340 (E55) or 255hp 360 V8s |
