Coronets were made from 1949-76. This is the 5th generation, 1965-70. Now built on the Mopars B Body platform. The 5th generation got a new body in 1968 and in 1970, it got a more rounded look and a different front end that consisted of a dual ovaled grill that was referred to as “bumble bee wings They were available in; base Deluxe (2 door coupe, 4 door sedan or wagon) Coronet 440 (4 door sedan, 2 door coupe or hardtop or wagon) Coronet 500 (4 door sedan, 2 door hardtop, convertible or wagon) RT (2 door hardtop) Super Bee (2 door hardtop or coupe) aimed at the younger market; basic trim but big horsepower. Super Bee engines; 383, 426 or 440 V8s |
