| Description | The City Walls and Paphos Gate. On the right is the Police Station, and to the left is the Catholic Church which we attended every Sunday. Left of the church was the Terra Santa, my old school. Sadly now no longer as it became a battlefield fought over by Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. The statue is of a youth belonging to EOKA - the militarist organisation under Dighenis ( General Grivas) , which opposed British rule. |
