Dark Aqua. The Montego was introduced for 1968 as an upscale version of the intermediate Mercury Comet, which it eventually supplanted after 1969. It was essentially a twin of the Ford Torino. Available in 4 door Sedan and Wagon and 2 door Coupe and Convertible. In 1969 the luxury MX Brougham was added and in 1970 the convertible was dropped, but 4 door Hardtop added The Cyclone was a high performance variant of the Montego.
