The Cadillac Automobile Company was founded in 1903. In 1909 Cadillac was acquired by General Motors, GMs premier luxury car. The Cadillac was redesigned in 1965, the tail fins were gone, it got sharp distinct body lines and headlight pairs switched from horizontal to vertical In 1969 the dual headlights were horizontal again, parking lights wrapped around the front fenders and flanked a taller grille. Models available in 1969; Calais; Entry level 130in wheelbase, 2 door Coupe or 4 door Sedan DeVille; 130 in wheelbase deVille badge on rear fender, power seats and power windows; 2 door Convertible, 2 and 4 door Hardtops or 4 door Sedan Eldorado; 120 in wheelbase, front wheel drive 2 door Hardtop. Fleetwood 60 Special; luxury 133 in wheelbase, 4 door Sedan, rear pillars wrapping around and a smaller rear window, Brougham got a vinyl roof. Series 75 Fleetwood; 150 in wheelbase, 4 door pillared sedan or 4 door limousine. Engine; 375hp 472 cu in V8 |
