| Description |
The Buick Motor Company was formed in 1903, it was General Motors' upmarket car, second only to Cadillac. From 1964, the Skylark was a separate line, but still based on the Special. A performance GS was available from 1965. From 1968, the Skylark got all new sheetmetal and now 4 door models were on a longer wheelbase than the 2 door models. The GS now a separate series and only available in 2 door Hardtop or Convertible. The base Skylark, 250 6 cyl, available in 2 door Hardtop or 4 door Sedan. The Skylark Custom, optional 230hp 350 V8, in Convertible 2 and 4 door Hardtop. Also available in 1969, the Riviera 2 door Hardtop The 112 and 116 inch wheelbase Special Deluxe, 155hp 250 6 cyl or 230hp 350 V8, in 2 or 4 door Sedan and Wagon, The 123 inch wheelbase LeSabre and LeSabre Custom, 260hp 340 cu in, was available in 4 door Sedan, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Convertible. The 126 inch wheelbase top of the line Electra 225, 225 Custom and Wildcat, 324hp 401 cu in or 360hp 430 cu in, available in Convertible, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Sedan. |
