Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 1968 AMC Rebel convertible AMO 2024 meet finished in Scarab Gold (paint code P52A) with matching interior (individually adjustable and reeling front seats were standard) and the soft top in black. The 1968 model year offered two convertible versions in the Rebel line since the compact-size Rambler American and the large sized, top-line AMC Ambassador convertible models were both discontinued after the 1967 model year. A total of 1,200 Rebel soft tops were produced in 1968 (823 in the high-line SST version and 377 units in the base 550 model). This was also the last year for AMC convertibles until this body style was added to the Kenosha-built sub-compact Renault Alliance in 1985.
  • These pictures were taken during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention in June 2024, organized by the Potomac Ramblers Club. Most events were held at the Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum in Petersburg, Virginia.
