Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 1968 AMC Ambassador, a full-size automobile made by American Motors Corporation.

This DPL "Cross Country" station wagon is finished in Tahiti Turquoise. It has the 343 CID (5.6 L) high-compression 4-barrel V8 engine [280 hp (209 kW; 284 PS) and 365 lb⋅ft (495 N⋅m) of torque] with automatic transmission. AMC made factory air conditioning standard equipment on all Ambassadors starting with the 1968 model year. The station wagons included the roof cargo rack and a two-way opening tailgate (drop down for long cargo or opens as a door hinged on the left side). This car has the standard individual adjustable reclining front seats, providing a comfortable seating capacity for six adults. The upholstery is "breathable" woven vinyl. It has AMC's optional "Turbocast" full-wheel covers. However, the air deflectors mounted on the rear sides are aftermarket accessories to help reduce the accumulation of dust/dirt on the tailgate window.

This car was photographed in 2014 in West Palm Beach, Florida. See images with the following file name "1968 AMC Ambassador DPL station wagon FL"
