Description

The AMX was a short wheelbase, 2 seat muscle car built by AMC from 1968-70, competitor to Americas other 2 seater, the Corvette. Discontinued after only 3 years, but its 4 seat sibling, the Javelin continued on until 1974. 1969 cars were very similar to 68 cars, mild upgrade to interior, whereas 70 cars got a redesigned front end with a more flush grille and power blister hood with 2 large openings. The performance 'Go' package was available from 1968; disc brakes, LSD, better suspension and Magnum 500 wheels and 'Big Bad paint option from 1969, bright orange, blue or green with colour coded bumpers
