| Description |
The Buick Motor Company was formed in 1903, it was General Motors' upmarket car, second only to Cadillac. The Wildcat was available from 1962-1970. For 1962, it was a sportier version of the Invicta two-door hardtop, then from 1963, a Series on its own. From 1965, the Wildcat was built on the longer Electra wheelbase. It got a deep set die-cast grille divided into two horizontal sections. In 1966, Wildcat styling got revised taillights, the grille's central circular motif of the previous year was replaced by a vertical centre bar. The faux vents on the front fenders were restyled as well. In 66 available in base or Custom, 2 or 4 door Hardtop, Convertible and 4 door Sedan. Also available in 1966, the Riviera 2 door Hardtop The 115 inch wheelbase Special, 155hp 225 V6, available in base or Deluxe, in 2 door Coupe, Convertible, 4 door Sedan and Wagon. The 115 inch wheelbase Skylark, 225 V6 or 300 V8, in 2 door Hardtop, Convertible, 4 door Sedan or Wagon. The 123 inch wheelbase LeSabre and LeSabre Custom, 260hp 340, was available in 4 door Sedan, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Convertible. The 126 inch wheelbase top of the line Electra 225, 225 Custom and Wildcat, 324hp 401 cu in or 340hp 425 cu in, available in Convertible, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Sedan. |
