[edit]Description1965 Shelby Mustang GT350 (14341162366).jpg |
Ford, having seen the success Carroll Shelby had made of the Cobra race car, knew he was the man to make the Mustang a respected race machine. He built performance improved Mustangs for the street and track from 1965-1970. This unrestored 1965 GT350 was the 6th Shelby Mustang ever built, and believed to be the 1st to arrive over on the East Coast where it was on show at the Philadelphia Auto Show in February 1965. It still has its original engine and driveline, it was in storage for over 30 years. Photographed at the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang celebrations at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, April 2014 |
