The XP Falcon was built from Feb 1965- Sept 1966 The XP Falcon was much the same as the XM, Visual changes consisted of a flatter bonnet, raised front fenders, a wrap around bumper and horizontal bar-type grille. The XP also had a stronger sub frame. The Sedan was available in Standard, Deluxe or Futura The 2 door Hardtop in Deluxe and Futura. The Wagon available in Standard, Deluxe or Squire And the Utility and Panel Van available in Standard or Deluxe. Again the Deluxe got a single chrome strips on the side and stainless steel window frames, the Futura got twin chrome strips forming a 'C' at the back, bucket seats and a console and the Squire Wagon got fake wood panelling on the side. In December 1965, the new top of the line Fairmont replaced the Futura and the Squire. It got bucket seats, Super Pursuit engine, auto trans and disc brakes, available in Sedan, Wagon and Hardtop. Three 6 cyl engines were available; 96hp 144 cu in, 111hp 170 cu in Pursuit and 121hp 200 cu in Super Pursuit |
