Description 1965 Ford Cortina Mk I GT 500 sedan. The GT 500 was Ford Australia's first attempt at a car built specifically to win the annual Bathurst 500 mile race, then known as the Armstrong 500. The car was a success with Barry Seton and Midge Bosworth finishing first in a GT 500 and Bruce McPhee and Barry Mulholland finishing second in another GT 500. Taken at the 2011 New South Wales All Ford Day, held at Eastern Creek Raceway.
