The Jeep Wagoneer was the first luxury 4x4, it was sold from 1963-91, introduced 7 years before Land Rovers luxury Range Rover was. The Wagoneer saw only minor mechanical changes during its 28 year life. It shared its styling with the Jeep Gladiator pickup truck. The Wagoneer featured free wheeeling hubs, power windows and tailgate, power disc brakes and air conditioning. From 1970 Jeep was owned by AMC, then in 1987 taken over by Chrysler, so during this period, they ran with AMC engines. Engine; 360 cu in V8 |
