This is the 1st of the Cortinas, an early Mk 1, (1962-64) before they got the flow through ventilation (vents in rear pillar) the early cars also had eliptical indicators separate to the grille. It was available in Standard and Deluxe with 113E 46hp 1197cc 4 cyl or Super with 116E 56hp 1499cc and GT with 122E 78hp1499cc 4 cyl. This car has never been restored and has done 48,000 original miles. In Australia the pre airflow MkI Cortina GT won the Armstrong 500 2 years in a row; 1963 with Harry Firth and Bob Jane and 1964 with Bob Jane and George Reynolds.
