| Description |
The Oldsmobile B body 88 and C body 98 had been around for years, in 1961 a new compact car was added to the list; the A body F-85, the 1st generation was built from 1961-63, it was available in standard or deluxe. Available in 1961 as 2 or 4 door Sedan, Wagon. In May 1961, the Cutlass Sports Coupe was introduced (2 door Hardtop) and in 1962 the Cutlass Convertible. The Cutlass got unique trim, an interior with bucket seats and optional center console, and a four-barrel version of the V8 engine, rated at 185 horsepower. The Jetfire option (turbocharger ) was also available in 1962 on the Cutlass Sports Coupe Engine; 215 cu in V8 (same engine as the Rover V8) |
