Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Walp's Restaurant stood for more than 60 years at the northeast corner of the intersection at Union Boulevard (Old U.S. 22) and Airport Road in East Allentown. It was established in 1936 by Robert and Blanche Walp, and was famous for its Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Originally a small diner, in 1960 it was expanded to a much larger modern restaurant. It continued to be family-owned until its closing in 1998. Walp's closed in 1998 and was torn down in 2000. It's now a large WaWa convenience store/gas station.
