Description

The Corsair in 1958 was the level below the top, Citation was the top and had more trim. As Ford started realizing this model wasn't going to succeed they started cutting the model line ups. The Corsair for 59 replaced the Citation as top dog. Body wise, they weren't any different than the lower end models. Unlike the 58's which had the "Mercury Based" body shell for the Citation Corsair and the "Ford Based" body shell for the lower end and wagons. Dimensions were the same for the low end and high end bodies, the trim was all that changed.

I took this at the Northwest Motorsports Show a couple of years back. This was a raffle car, proceeds were to help the Boise State Broncos Football Association.
