Description

Replacing the A70 Hereford, the Westminster was introduced in 1954 with new unibody construction. The only BMC car to have a horizontal grille. The Westminster was a 6 cyl car, with 7 bars in the grille, side chrome and fog lights, whereas the similar Cambridge were all 4 cyl cars with 6 bars in the grille, shorter in length and smaller wheels. The A90 was replaced in 1956 by the A95 and longer A105, they got a new grille. A badge engineered version was sold in Australia as the Morris Marshall. The 105 was top of the line with extra chrome, two tone paint and more power. Replaced in 1959 by the new Farina shaped A99.
