[edit]Description1957 Imperial Southampton Coupe (17183885946).jpg |
An absolute stunner. According to the info sheet which is hard to read in this photo it is a rare early production model with single headlights, rather than the dual lights most Imperials had. It was bought new in January 1957 from a Chrysler dealer in Flushing, New York, and was imported into NZ in 1990. Before this I had never heard of the Southampton model - just 4595 were built apparently. Perhaps Graham or Edward can tell us more? This baby was totally original and looks all the better for it. |
