For 1957, Fords were new from the ground up and the were longer, lower and wider. They retained a single-headlight front end, styling was simple with a clean wide grille and great looking side molding and prominent tailfins. The Crown Victoria wasn't available in 1957. The 1957 Ford series consisted of the 116in wheelbase Custom and Custom 300, Also the 118in wheelbase Fairlane, Fairlane 500 and Station Wagons. The Custom and Custom 300 available in 2 and 4 door Sedan. The Fairlane and Fairlane 500; post cars were the 4 door Town Sedan and the 2 door Club Sedan, the 4 door Town Victoria and 2 door Club Victoria were pillarless. Fairlane 500s also available were the Sunliner Convertible and the new Skyliner Convertible, with Fords first retractable hardtop. was the new Skyliner Convertible, with Fords first retractable hardtop. Wagons were the 2 door Ranch Sedan, 4 door Country Sedan and 4 door Country Squire (wood panelling) The new Ranchero was a popular spin off of Ford's Ranch Wagon with a 6 foot pickup bed.
