Description

The 1955 Chevrolet got a new chassis and new styling, the start of the most popular generation of Chevrolets.1956 saw a facelift, now with a full width grille and new 'speedline' body styling, the tail lights and side chrome trim was also unique to 1956. Still available in 1956 was the Base 150, mid 210 and top, Belair. As before, the 210 got some chrome, a single chrome strip along the side, whereas the Bel Air had twin chrome strips. Bodys; Sedan, Coupe, 2 and 4 door Hardtop, Wagon and Convertible. Chevrolets were also produced in Australia by General Motors using modified American bodies from 1926-68.
