| Description |
The Mk I Zephyr (Eota) replaced the V8 Pilot and was styled on the US 1949 Ford. It was built in England from 1951-56 and also assembled in NZ. The base model was the 4 cyl Consul, introduced in 1950, then the 6 cyl Zephyr, in 1951, the bonnet on the Zephyr was 4 inches longer than the Consul and had a more elaborate grille. Top of the line was the Zodiac, introduced in 1953, with 2 tone paint, leather and spot lights. The Zephyr was available from 1951 in 4 door Saloon, Estate and from 1952, a 2 door Convertible as well Engine; 68hp 2262cc 6 cyl (Consul; 47hp 1508cc 4 cyl) |
