Description

Alvis Car and Engineering Company Ltd was a British manufacturing company, and operated from 1919 to 1967. Car manufacturing ended after the company became a subsidiary of Rover in 1965, but armoured vehicle manufacture continued. Alvis became part of British Leyland and then in 1982 was sold to United Scientific Holdings. The Alvis 3 litre TA 21 were built from 1950-53, mainly 4 door saloons and 2 door drophead coupes, this car was delivered to coach builder Herman Graber, as a rolling chassis, engine, gearbox and wheels, he built the body. It was displayed at the 1954 Geneva Motor Show
