Description

The Mk I Zephyr replaced the V8 Pilot and was styled on the US 1949 Ford. It was built in England from 1951-56 and also assembled in NZ. The base model was the 4 cyl Consul, then the 6 cyl Zephyr, the bonnet on the Zephyr was 4 inches longer than the Consul and had a more elaborate grille. Top of the line was the Zodiac with 2 tone paint, leather and spot lights. Available in Saloon, Estate or Convertible Engine; 68hp 2262cc 6 cyl (Consul; 47hp 1508cc 4 cyl)
