Summary
[edit]Description1953 Allard Palm Beach 21C in Red, front left (Greenwich 2021).jpg |
English: A 1953 Allard Palm Beach 21C Roadster in Red. This car won a Speed & Style Award. The "C" in 21C signifies Consul rather than Zephyr, meaning that this car has the Consul's little four-cylinder engine. These originally had 48hp, but this particular example is endowed with Aquaplane racing mods and ought to produce a bit more. Originally sold to the United States it was raced in the period: it took a fourth in the 1954 Nassau Cup Race and participated in the 1953 Watkins Glen Grand Prix Concours d'Elegance and the Great American Mountain Rallye, the 1961 Scuderia Veloce Bazaar, International Winter Gymkhana, and 1966 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Endurance Race. |
