Summary
[edit]Description1952 Allard J2X in grey green, rear left (Greenwich 2022).jpg |
English: A 1952 Allard J2X Sports on display at the 2021 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. A 12-month restoration was just completed and this was the car's first show. Originally fitted with a Chrysler Hemi engine, this was later swapped for a Cadillac 331 ci unit which blew its head gasket in 1962. The third engine (still in there) was a NASCAR-spec Ford 406 (Holman & Moody) with three twin carbs which reputedly produces 550hp (presumably SAE gross as other sources call it 400hp)! Four-speed manual. Olive grey color looks nice against the Mahogany interior. |
